Advocating for connected and informed communities that support the rights of people with a disability to be included as full citizens

We provide resources and strategies that encourage and develop personal empowerment.
  • Develop a stronger understanding of community development practice and its capacity to build more enabling and inclusive communities
  • Inform and influence inclusive planning, policy and practice of mainstream services and organisations, disability service agencies, government and other authorities
  • Provide opportunities for people with disabilities, community organisations, disability service agencies, government and other authorities to network and share information, expertise and knowledge
  • Provide leadership opportunities for people with disabilities which facilitate their human rights and citizenship aspirations within local communities

Please note that all volunteers are required to have a current Police Certificate.  If you already have a Police Certificate send a copy with your Volunteer application or fill out the Police Check and send it to VALID with your application.
