Self Advocacy Regional Networks
VALID supports a range of self advocacy forums and networks that assist people to assert
their rights and speak up for themselves.
Regional Client Networks
We support four separate Regional Client Networks for people with a disability living in
the metropolitan area. Membership of the Networks is open to clients and Client Council
members from Day Programs, Accommodation Services and Self Advocacy Groups. The Networks
aim to provide:

VALID Self Advocacy Forum
VALID hosts a monthly Client Committee forum for people with intellectual
disability, drawn particularly from Client Councils of ATSSs. Meetings occur on the last
Tuesday of each month from 1.00 pm - 2.30 pm at the VALID Office, with participants
welcome to attend early to have lunch together and chat.
