A few months ago, the VALID Moe Peer Action Group (PAG) decided they wanted to have their own radio show, and so they made a plan. The plan started with the big idea (the radio show) and then they worked out what they needed to do to make it come to life.

Today VALID and 22 other organisations have together released a statement in response recent news from the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) about Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA).
We welcome the good ideas the NDIA have committed to - but we are deeply concerned about the news regarding shared housing and supports. It suggests shared living arrangements will be much, much more common that individual housing and supports.

With the roll out of the NDIS, Victorian Government managed group homes will be transitioning to non-government providers. This will mean a lot of really big changes, so we've been busy asking questions, finding answers, and supporting residents and families with information and advocacy.
