Earlier this year Terry was involved with RMIT, co-designing the curriculum for new support workers wanting to work in the disability sector. Through this work Terry was invited to be part of a video about diversity and getting good disability support.
Film director Sarah Barton is developing a short Q &A documentary on people’s experiences with staff supports. Sarah wants to highlight people’s good and not so good experiences and also wants to explore what makes a good support worker
There was a diverse range of identities interviewed, and all of them had a disability of some kind.
Terry was given a platform to speak about his own life experiences and his personal thoughts and feelings on the services he has received.
